Changelog
What's new
Every release of reconYa. Downloads for each version are on the download page.
1.0.4
- A new, easier-to-read look: larger text, softer ink-blue colours, rounded panels, and plain-language labels instead of all-caps abbreviations.
- Addresses, ports and timestamps stay in a monospace font so they line up; everything else is set for reading.
- Fixed: in narrower windows the device list's columns no longer drift out of line with their headings.
- Fixed: the scan plan panel no longer runs over the map's zoom controls when a network has many ranges.
1.0.3
- A quieter first launch: the first sweep of a network is a silent baseline instead of a "new device" alert for every host, and devices with private Wi-Fi addresses raise a warning rather than a critical alert.
- If a sweep finishes and nothing answers, the map explains how to allow Local Network access in System Settings.
- Fixed: "% of range in use" still showed 0% in 1.0.2 (the fix announced there did not take effect).
- Fixed: opening a host's details in a smaller window shifted the whole console sideways.
- Fixed: alert pop-ups covered the New network button; the Networks page showed "last scanned: never".
- Clearer About and Settings text.
1.0.2
- The sweep bar and scan plan now show the exact address range being scanned, for example 192.168.0.0/23 · 192.168.0.1–.1.254.
- Fixed: "% of range in use" showed 0% when no sweep was running, and was miscalculated for networks larger than a /24.
- Device vendors now come only from the built-in IEEE registry, refreshed with every release. No per-device lookups leave your computer.
- Licences of the open-source components reconYa uses are now included with the app.
1.0.1
- Fixed: "Buy a license" and other links to websites did nothing inside the app. They now open in your default browser.
1.0.0
- First commercial release, for macOS 13 or later (universal: Apple Silicon and Intel).
- Live topology map, host inventory, fingerprinting, port and service detection, alerts and metrics history.
- 14-day trial with every feature, then a one-time licence with a year of updates. Licence keys activate once and then work offline.
