This page explains what personal data reconYa and reconya.com handle, and why. The controller is Chris Veleris, Greece, reachable at info@dyneteq.com.

The app

reconYa stores everything it discovers (devices, ports, alerts, history) on your computer only (on macOS, in ~/Library/Application Support/reconya). None of it is ever sent to us or anyone else.

The app contacts the internet only in these cases:

• Activating or removing a licence key. The key, a random installation identifier, your operating system and the app version are sent to Polar, our payment provider, to register or release the activation.
• Update checks, only if you turn them on. The app downloads the public release list from reconya.com once a day and, about once a week, re-checks your licence key with Polar. Our web server sees your IP address, like any website visit.
• Internet status indicator. While the console is open, the app briefly opens and closes a connection to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) to show whether your internet is up. No data is sent over it.
• Optional lookups you enable in Settings, such as vendor or geolocation lookups, which contact the third-party service named next to each setting.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Polar Software Inc. as merchant of record. Polar collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details to process the payment, issue the invoice and email your licence key. We receive your name, email address and order details from Polar to provide support and renewals. Polar's own privacy policy applies to the data it processes.

The website

reconya.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page, referring page, browser) for security, troubleshooting and download statistics. They are deleted after 90 days and only the site operator can see them. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion at info@dyneteq.com. You also have the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
