End User License Agreement

This agreement is between you (the "Licensee") and Chris Veleris (the "Licensor") and covers the reconYa desktop application, its updates and its documentation (the "Software"). By installing or using the Software you accept these terms.

1. Trial

You may use the Software free of charge for 14 days from first launch to evaluate it. After the trial the console locks until a license key is activated. Data collected during the trial is kept.

2. License grant

A purchased license grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Software on the number of computers stated on your purchase (one, unless stated otherwise), for personal or commercial purposes.

The license covers every version of the Software released within one year of the purchase date. Versions released after that year require an update renewal. Versions released within the covered year keep working indefinitely.

3. Activation

Activating a license key sends the key and a random installation identifier to the Licensor's payment provider (Polar) once, to register the activation. Removing a license releases the activation the same way. No scan results, device data or network information are ever sent. If you enable update checks, the Software also periodically fetches the public release list from reconya.com and re-checks that the license key is still valid.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

• share, resell, rent or sublicense your license key, or use it on more computers than your purchase allows;
• remove, bypass or tamper with the license checks;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except where applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
• use the Software to scan or monitor networks you do not own or are not authorized to administer.

5. Refunds

Purchases can be refunded within 30 days. A refund revokes the license key.

6. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. The Licensor retains all rights not expressly granted in this agreement.

7. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Network scanning can trigger security alerts or disrupt fragile devices; you are responsible for how and where you use it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Licensor is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from the use of or inability to use the Software. The Licensor's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license.

9. Termination

This license ends automatically if you breach its terms. On termination you must stop using the Software and delete all copies.

10. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Greece. Mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.
